Call for Artists: Brushes for Peace. Embracing Cultural Diversity in Palestinian Art
Are you an artist inspired by the rich tapestry of Palestinian culture and longing to contribute to its vibrant artistic landscape? We are thrilled to extend an open invitation to artists, both Palestinian and non-Palestinian, to participate in a groundbreaking exhibition celebrating the multifaceted beauty of Palestinian artistry.
About the Exhibition: This exhibition seeks to create a space where artists from diverse backgrounds can come together to explore and celebrate the essence of Palestinian identity through artistic expression. Regardless of nationality or heritage, we welcome artists who are drawn to the Palestinian narrative and wish to contribute their unique perspectives to this collective dialogue.
Themes: While the exhibition is open to a broad range of interpretations, we encourage artists to engage with themes that resonate with the Palestinian experience, such as:
• Identity and heritage
• Architecture and Calligraphy
• Homeland and displacement
• Cultural traditions and contemporary realities
• Social justice and human rights
• Palestinian stories from last 75 years
Submission Guidelines:
• Artists from all backgrounds can submit their work.
• Artwork with political imagery or text will be rejected.
• All artistic mediums and styles are welcome, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, digital art.
• The artwork must be original
• Each artist may submit up to three pieces for consideration.
• Submissions should be accompanied by a brief artist statement (100-200 words) explaining the inspiration behind the artwork and its connection to the Palestinian narrative.
• High-resolution images of the artwork should be submitted via email.
• Prize winnings;
1st place $500
2nd place $300
3rd place $200
